Camtile Privacy Policy

Camtile does not collect any data. It has no accounts, no servers of ours and no analytics. Your video and your credentials stay with you: on your own devices, on your own network, and — only if you turn sharing on — in your own iCloud account.
What Camtile is
Camtile is a viewer for network video recorders (NVRs) and IP cameras that you already own. It connects directly to that equipment over your local network, through a VPN you control, or over an address your own router provides. There is no Camtile service in between.
Information we collect
None. We operate no servers and receive nothing from the app. Specifically, Camtile does not collect or transmit:
- Names, email addresses or any account information — there are no accounts
- Device identifiers, advertising identifiers or usage analytics
- Location data
- Video, snapshots or recordings
- Crash reports (unless you separately opt in to Apple's own sharing setting, in which case Apple handles that data under Apple's policy)
Information stored on your device
Everything Camtile saves stays on the device that saved it, unless you turn on iCloud sharing (below):
- Device profiles — the name, network address, ports and username of each recorder you add. Stored inside the app's own container.
- Passwords — stored in the iOS Keychain on iPhone and iPad. On macOS they are stored in an encrypted file (AES-GCM) inside the app's sandbox container, readable only by your user account. Passwords are never written into device profiles, never placed in stream URLs, and never written to logs.
- View preferences — layout, page, stream quality, camera order and mute state.
- Snapshots and recordings — only the ones you explicitly capture, in the folder you choose. Camtile never writes live video to disk on its own.
Deleting the app removes all of it. Removing a device inside the app deletes that device's stored password.
Optional: sharing recorders through iCloud
Off unless you turn it on in Settings. When on, the recorders you add — name, address, ports and username — are kept in your own iCloud key-value storage, and their passwords in your iCloud Keychain, which Apple encrypts end to end. This lets your other iPhone, iPad or Mac signed in to the same Apple Account find them. It goes from your device to your iCloud account; we never receive or see it. Turning sharing off removes those copies from iCloud.
Who Camtile connects to
Only the recorders and cameras you add — on your local network, through your VPN, or at a remote address you entered or your recorder reported. Camtile makes no other connections. If you press Turn on external access on the Device screen, Camtile asks your recorder to request a port mapping from your own router (UPnP); it never does this on its own.
The built-in demo plays video bundled in the app and connects to nothing.
Permissions
- Local network — required to reach your recorder and to scan for compatible devices when you ask it to.
- Photo library (add only, iOS) — requested only when you save a snapshot. Camtile can add photos; it cannot read your library.
Third parties
Camtile includes the open-source VLCKit media framework to decode video. It runs entirely on your device and sends nothing anywhere. No advertising, attribution or analytics SDK is included.
Children
Camtile is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Because the app collects nothing, we do not expect material changes.

ما هو Camtile
Camtile تطبيق لمشاهدة أجهزة التسجيل الشبكي وكاميرات IP التي تملكها بالفعل. يتصل بها مباشرة عبر شبكتك المحلية أو عبر شبكة افتراضية خاصة تديرها أنت. لا توجد خدمة وسيطة تابعة لـ Camtile.
ما الذي نجمعه
لا شيء. لا نشغّل أي خوادم ولا يصلنا شيء من التطبيق. تحديدًا، لا يجمع Camtile ولا يرسل:
- الأسماء أو عناوين البريد أو أي بيانات حساب — لا توجد حسابات أصلًا
- معرّفات الأجهزة أو معرّفات الإعلانات أو بيانات الاستخدام
- بيانات الموقع الجغرافي
- الفيديو أو اللقطات أو التسجيلات
- تقارير الأعطال، إلا إذا فعّلت مشاركتها من إعدادات Apple نفسها، وعندها تتولاها Apple وفق سياستها
ما يُحفظ على جهازك
كل ما يحفظه Camtile يبقى على الجهاز الذي حفظه، ما لم تفعّل مشاركة iCloud (أدناه):
- ملفات الأجهزة — الاسم وعنوان الشبكة والمنافذ واسم المستخدم لكل جهاز تضيفه، داخل حاوية التطبيق.
- كلمات المرور — في Keychain على iPhone و iPad، وفي ملف مشفّر بخوارزمية AES-GCM داخل حاوية التطبيق على macOS لا يقرؤه إلا حساب المستخدم لديك. لا تُكتب كلمة المرور في ملف الجهاز، ولا في روابط البث، ولا في أي سجل.
- تفضيلات العرض — التخطيط والصفحة وجودة البث وترتيب الكاميرات وحالة الصوت.
- اللقطات والتسجيلات — فقط ما تلتقطه أنت صراحة، في المجلد الذي تختاره. لا يكتب Camtile البث المباشر على القرص من تلقاء نفسه.
حذف التطبيق يزيل كل ذلك. وحذف جهاز من داخل التطبيق يحذف كلمة مروره المحفوظة.
اختياري: مشاركة الأجهزة عبر iCloud
معطّلة ما لم تفعّلها من الإعدادات. عند تفعيلها تُحفظ الأجهزة التي تضيفها — الاسم والعنوان والمنافذ واسم المستخدم — في مساحة iCloud الخاصة بك، وكلمات مرورها في سلسلة مفاتيح iCloud المشفّرة طرفًا إلى طرف لدى Apple، لتجدها أجهزتك الأخرى المسجّلة بحساب Apple نفسه. تنتقل من جهازك إلى حسابك في iCloud مباشرة، ولا تصلنا ولا نطّلع عليها. إيقاف المشاركة يحذف تلك النسخ من iCloud.
بمن يتصل Camtile
بالأجهزة والكاميرات التي تضيفها أنت فقط — على شبكتك المحلية، أو عبر VPN خاص بك، أو على عنوان خارجي أدخلته أنت أو أبلغ عنه جهازك. لا يُجري التطبيق أي اتصال آخر. وإذا ضغطت تفعيل الوصول الخارجي في شاشة الجهاز، يطلب التطبيق من المسجّل أن يطلب من الراوتر الخاص بك تحويل منفذ (UPnP)، ولا يفعل ذلك من تلقاء نفسه أبدًا.
العرض التجريبي المدمج يشغّل فيديو مضمّنًا داخل التطبيق ولا يتصل بأي شيء.
الأذونات
- الشبكة المحلية — لازمة للوصول إلى جهازك وللبحث عن الأجهزة المتوافقة عندما تطلب ذلك.
- مكتبة الصور (إضافة فقط، على iOS) — تُطلب فقط عند حفظ لقطة. يستطيع التطبيق الإضافة ولا يستطيع قراءة مكتبتك.
أطراف ثالثة
يتضمّن Camtile مكتبة VLCKit مفتوحة المصدر لفك ترميز الفيديو، وتعمل بالكامل على جهازك ولا ترسل شيئًا إلى أي جهة. لا توجد أي حزمة إعلانات أو تحليلات.
الأطفال
التطبيق غير موجّه للأطفال ولا يجمع بيانات من أي شخص، بمن فيهم من هم دون الثالثة عشرة.
التغييرات
إن تغيّرت هذه السياسة ستُنشر النسخة المحدّثة هنا بتاريخ جديد. ولأن التطبيق لا يجمع شيئًا، لا نتوقع تغييرات جوهرية.
